This is brilliant

Well done & a credit to those involved
( a shame about the claw hammers on chisels)

I normally find these youtube links just waste a chunk of my life I'll never get back ... but this one is an exception. Just fantastic to watch craftsmen at work and the fascinating blend of traditional and modern techniques is interesting too

The gorilla with the claw hammer actually made the whole process a little more human otherwise I'd have thought they were just too good to be true

Also, brilliantly filmed and produced I thought. Held the interest all the way through, moved along quickly but lingered just long enough on each shot not to feel rushed and somehow seemed to comprehensively cover the build without being too long

Thanks for sharing that, quite made my day!

yours for £750K + VAT

Hmm, "hello? is that the Halifax? Well you know how I borrowed a sh*t load of money to buy a new car two years ago? Yes. And you know you recently kindly lent me an even bigger pile of dosh over a ludicrous repayment period at ruinous interest rates to buy a new boat? Yes. Well do you think you might see your way to lending me three quarters of a million ..."

I don't think that's going to work somehow

Wonder if the future daughter-in-law would object to me sawing the barrels off one of her shotguns?

Real craftsmen use a mallet ;)

Very few of those old style analogue instruments are made now by B&G, but digital wouldn't do for that type of boat. Alas all production in Romsey ceases at the end of October, and from then on everything will be made in Mexico.

Fantastic boat - even if it does have a flat bottom, bolt on T shaped fin keel, saildrive and spade rudder. The MAB brigade won't like it.
