This and it’s various Boards are driving me mad

Two solutions have been found- see the various responses but: -
1. use another browser- e.g. Brave, Firefox
2. use an AdBlocker - e.g. Purify, Ghostery Lite

Just seen this thread. I am Windows 10, Chrome, and UBlock, and I've had no trouble. As an experiment I just turned off UBlock, and I immediately started getting the "I accept" problem. Turned UBlock back on and It has gone. So UBlock is a cure for Windows 10/Chrome users.

+1
same setup, changed from Adblock to Ublock - instant cure.

Bizarely there is no sign of it at present.
My solution - a brand new monitor today - but I'm sure this is a coincidence, and they have sorted it out.

My view on adverts is that they finance valuable forums like this. If we all blocked them, revenue would fall and the forum would cease.

To some extent I agree with you, but it is down to the IT people to make sure that the adverts don't cause the forum to come to a shuddering halt which has been the case for quite a while. I am also surprised that IT haven't made some announcement over the problems and what they are doing or have done to sort it out.

I must admit to wondering what the problem was as all was fine with my iPad and ybw until about 20 minutes ago. I have changed nothing since using it this morning so whatever it is is at the ybw end.

My plan is to take a look once a day or so to see if it’s been resolved but, other than that, I’ll call it quits until it is.

Looks like my post with my idle threat sorted things out :)

As RichardS knows, I couldn't resist peeking, so completely failed to follow through on it :)

Agreed in principle, but there have been so many adverts that have been truly intrusive, that an adblocker became essential if the forum were to remain useable.

If it could be proved that there would be no more such adverts ever, then an adblocker might not be required.

I must admit I don't find the number of adverts excessive even though I usually access the forum via my phone.
