Think I am going to subscribe again

Ever since they changed the cover to be a direct copy of Yachting World, I have had immense difficulty in telling issues apart. Even browsing in the news agent I find it hard to remember whether I have seen the articles before. That has been the case for a while, actually - one of "Britain's Trickiest Berths" looks very like another - but at least the covers varied a bit and had a date on the front.

If you were thinking of having a digital version, which AFAIK is still offered if you subscribe to the paper magazine, I suggest you investigate first, dependent upon which phone/tablet you have. I used to read mine when away from home on iPad but cannot find how to do it with Android.

Thanks for the advice. I'm an Apple customer so I hadn't spotted that.

Being a great admirer of Elaine Bunting, I would see a resemblance to YW as a distinct advantage!

G'day Andrew,
Nearly bought ( $NZ17!!!!) a copy of the Feb PBO yesterday having read somewhere on the inet that it had a good article about Sealords in it...

Had a quick scan... a single para in a larger article.... some named bloke quoted as saying one Sealord had almost completed a circumnav.... one already has.... it just hasn't returned to the UK yet...

Also stated that two friends(?) had sailed Sealords in Patagonia and the Falklands.... well.. I don't think I know him... and the only other Sealord that has been down here was lost off Tristan about 8 years ago after rig failure caused by a design fault common to all Sealords....

So I have just invested my $NZ17 in pisco sours........

No subscription from me in sight I'm afraid....

currently en route to Pto Williams par avion... ETA manana 1230.

Could be worth having a free trial of readly:

https://gb.readly.com/

It's absolutely great on my kindle: all the magazines I want (sailing, running, skiing, current affairs), plus loads of others that I don't, and back issues as well the latest editions.

Highly recommended at £7.99/ month.

I am reading it on the RBDigital app on both iPad and kindle. The kindle is android. I haven't subscribed though, it's just free from the library. Every month they email when the new edition is out, and it appears in the app as soon as you click 'check out'. There are about 200 free magazines on there.

Well you can join online so you could have a go ! But the RBDigital facility is not just UK. If you google 'emagazines Sydney' you will find the same service. The UK list of magazines depends on which county you live in but some allow you to join if you are in a neighbouring county.

Great site for £7.99 a month. I've saved many pounds over the past year by using them. It even lets you have multiple users so my wife, son and daughter are all on my subscription. They're saving as well cos they're getting it free. I download all the mags I want onto my tablet and read them at my leasure. Also good for browsing other mags to see if you like them or not.
No connection with them just a very satisfied customer.
