I'm constantly seeing different sized ropes used for different sized boats... sometimes way too small for the size of boat, other times way too big for the size of boat.
I have a Sealine S23 and want to know what thickness rope I should be using for mooring in inland areas. So basicly the wind is never going to be too strong (I have thick rope fixed to the pontoon at 'base' so no need to worry about the strength in stormy weather).
I want to buy some pre-spliced (so goes around the cleat nicely without a big knot at the end of it) blue rope that will go easy on the girlfriends hands when mooring (she's well trained /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif) but don't know how thick to get as i'll be buying it online (way cheaper than my local chandler) pre-spliced
I've seen websites mentioned on this forum (stupid search engine aint helping me much though) where I can buy pre-spliced rope in different lengths - can anyone make a recommendation?
Many thanks guys
