Well I know for a fact that Princess, Sealine and Berthon read it, cos i've had them all contact me after reading posts i've made.
Top marks to Princess, I had a little gripe on here about a spares problem, and quickly had an apology, a freebie, and a promise that the problem had been sorted, which it appears to have been, as i've had no problems since.
Hmmm. I've consistently praised the excellent boat knowledge and boat fitting skills of Dave Street and team at Berthon, over several years, and they haven't sent me a free bottle of booze
I think FL deleted the teak trim pieces on the new Sq55 radar arch following "analysis" on this forum
It's a shame Princess don't take heed of the flybridge re-design advice (and your pictures!) on here
Do I recall correctly that last year one young man who worked for a Dealership in the Solent lost his job because of advice he posted on this forum? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Yes, May, I think you're right. There is a potential legal problem if somebody makes statements on the forum which could be construed as being made on behalf of a company. In any case, if somebody is posting on this forum during working hours or from a work computer, that could land them in trouble with their employers anyway

It's about the only perk I get as a Boss in this Company /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I think it was perhaps the disclosure of confidential information that may have landed that particular poster in hot water. It is after all the internet for all to see..
Hey, as a boss the only two things that you should have on your desk is your feet! And a laptop to respond to forum posts of course! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Sunseeker....!
I wonder if they read these forums too?
I love my (new to me) slightly "dated" (some may say) looking Portofino 34 and dream of a company such as the Brilliant Sunseeker doing a "Overhauling" job on it.....
You know that American car prog where they nick your car and give it back a week later better than new!
?????????
Hang on I've just come up with a new TV prog idea!!
Hey Discovery channel I bagsie first episode. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Been a busy week,I'm tired and excited about the rugby tomorrow (but we won't go there) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
for a change they should get some US builders doing this or in Italian and English ones, where there is also a bigger boat approach
I read once on a Fl company mag how they fixed a damaged Targa, was very interesting
they change engines and do huge project refits in US for 50ft motor boats which really impress you, but also smaller ones like the refit of a small 31 ft Bertram and so on so forth
Quite interesting but the owner's had to pay and do all the work!
I'm thinking find me the "Chip Foose" of the boat building world and get the production company to pay for the satisfaction of seeing me cry when I get to drool over their efforts!

That'll be jfm of this parish or maybe he's more Lipu of Chop Shop than Chip Foose, judging by his restyling of the Birchwood Commando /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I recently made a post about Traffords Insurance as they had mailshotted me. I wondered if anybody had dealt with them as I had not heard of them. Later in the thread I declared that I was going to stick with my current insurers for various stated reasons. One of the top honchos from Traffords must have read my post (probably reading this!) and took the time and effort to email me with reassurance about their company and dealt with the issues I raised. Anyway the upshot was that I was suitably impressed with his efforts and I have reconsidered and it is likely I will give my insurance business to them. He says that he reads the forums and doesn't post for fear of being accused of advertising. Seems an all round decent bloke and a decent outfit.
