Them there BoatCars.........

The only possible reason to have a car/boat like that is to be able to drive it down the slipway besides the Slug n Lettuce in Richmond on a sunny Saturday afternoon in August, then drive it up onto the beach by the White Swan. Now that is what I would call a pub crawl.

Agree.

Not sure whats it like on the road but the other night when I saw it heading back towards the city the bonnet looked like it was going to go under any minute. By the time I got my camera it was on the step and moving nicely I thought.

Anyone know who makes this?

It's a Gibbs

Aquada

And he does indeed drive up the slip by the White Swan, seen him a few times, never seen him drive out by the slag and fetish though, I would imagine he would have a few plastics thrown at him if he did that on a busy Sunday afternoon!

I don't know if it is still there, but there used to be an old Amphicar parked in a driveway a few doors down from the White Swan. Sadly rusting away, but a great way to get to the shops when the road is flooded at spring tide.

Funny enough

I was thinking about that as I replied, its only very recently gone as the house has been sold.

Slight fred drfit but the White Swan has gone down hill very fast, they have tried to go all swanky with it but unfortunately only employed kids to run it. To date I have not paid the same price for a round and when asking for a pint of fosters (yes I know fosters...) he said it had run out (at 1900) would I like anything else as he does not know how to change the barrel....

You should have ordered a huge round of drinks, showed him an empty wallet and told him you had run out of money, but not to worry as you are getting a new money delivery tomorrow. :D
