\'The World\'

Now, has anyone here bought an apartment on this ship?

Would you want to? It has most of the ideals we were talking about last week on our marina purchase, golf course, tennis, pools, bars, restaurants, shopping and even a chapel for all those lost at sea. cheapest apartment is £1.4m, the biggies £4.8m.

Who decides where you go next? Wealthiest? hands up, the most win?

Comments please

Re: \'The World of ResidenSea\'

I looked at this. Big ship with flats in it. They have schedules to go around all the world events. Nothing much to do with boating from a balcony 50yards up in the air, imho. Also, you're always gonna meet the same people. So you can't drive it, can't change the surrounding if it's boring here, and can't move away from the git next door, but can't expect nice house price inflation which you could with any other flat with a good view. You'd have to be pretty sure that you liked going on cruises, but couldn't get hopelessly ratfaced and make a spectacle of yourself, nor choose a better (or cheaper) cruise next year.

Council tax?

Come on Claymore,

Having shelled out £1.4M for the grottiest apartment I doubt the odd grand or so a year on council tax is going to be a major worry. What would be of more concern would be standing charges / service bills and insurance against BinLadens Airlines.

Re: Council tax?

Hmm, well our local authority are a bit sticky on council tax and for all I know so are all the others so I was just wondering who you'd have to make the cheque out to.....?
Are you trying to introduce another Insurance thread here Barry?

Not me Claymore, Sir.

Presumably this floating hotel would have it's own bank / assets etc.. and police force. Besides all you'd have to do would be to nip over into international waters (is 12 or 3 miles for UK, and about 250 for Iceland).

Re: Local authorities ours just preferes to collect from those who've paid in the past. Those who don't want to pay are ignored but then it is a Labour council.

Re: Claymore leaps out of his depth

I fully understand the concerns of the honourable member for Fylde South, and am very pleased to have had the opportunity to welcome him aboard to discuss the matter. It is most important that all members of the BB with vritual appartments on this wonderful ship have fully paid all the relevant taxes, including even the television licences for the relevent areas to be visited.

Unfortunately, I am very sorry to report that Claymore had a rather unfortunate accident. I returned my own appartment, having left him for only half an hour, to find three waitresses tied together with electrical ties who were all naked except for a liberal coating of Vick's Sinex. The gentleman in question was found inexplicably floating two miles astern, has been rescued, and is recovering from his ordeal in the ship's hospital. I am sure that he will be happy to answer questions in due course.

Coated in Vick\'s Sinex ?

Don't you mean Vick's vapour rub ? You stick Sinex up your nose don't you ? Anyway, being Claymore, wouldn't these waitresses be coated with the intestinal juices of a sheep's stomach lining?

In my defence

There was this frog, it looked cold and wet and unhappy. I put it in my bed and kissed it goodnight. In the morning I awoke to find the frog had turned into a choirboy....
