The Waterfront, Cowes

I went there on Saturday evening after the powerboat races. They only had a "Cowes Week" menu available, which basically had quick to cook food on it. The quality of food was poor (the plate was splattered with sauce where they had microwaved it), the portions tiny, the chips were cold, and the previous occupants glasses and leftovers were only cleared when our food was delivered! It would have been understandable if they were busy, but it was actually quite quiet - I think I know why!

Anyone tried Saffrons, the new curry house?

We went there a few years ago.
The beer was that bad we only managed to drink half a pint.
Did not try the food, but have never been back.

Ate in saffron's last weekend. Food reasonable to good, though one order delivered wrong. Beer very expensive, but as mentioned on the other posting, the wait is just dreadful! Not going back is my vote.
