A needs must sail back to the Orwell today with children. Strong wind warning given ok. Two reefs in the main and some genoa - no probs until gusts topped NE 40 knots. A steady 23 kn with gusts building into the 30's kn and above for most of the trip
Never had so much water down my neck! a load of Belgian racers left Tollesbury with us once they had cleared the Colne Bar by they were off. Fell a bit like we we the submersibles.
Anyway in one piece tucked up in Suffolk Yacht Harbour Levington for the night as dog needs a walk and the mooring seemed a little harsh after the washing machine ride we've all had.
Glad to be nearly home!
Anyone else's day feeel like this?
Ben
