Surely the ultimate remote control toy !!

Had the boat out a Endeavour Quay last week for it's annual sort out. What a lovely yard. Open policy for people working on your boat. Some good businesses based there - Marine Tech were helpful and prompt in swapping out a seacock which had seized shut.

It helped that the weather played ball. A very well run yard they have all the toys for moving stuff around and surely one of the largest travel hoists on the South Coast but this bit of kit caught my eye...

I have worked there on numerous occasions, I find them very helpful for parking the van next to the boat I'm working on, nothing is too much trouble, tim the yard manager is a top man. I hope things don't change after the takeover.

They have a couple of similar things at Hamble Point:

Lets them shift boats around the yard as required, then just one travelift to put them in the water.

Where is Endeavour Quay?

It's in the seaside town of Gosport (opposite the world heritage port of Portsmouth).

Premier had bought out the yard just before we used it and there was some confusion as to the Haslar berth holders discounts. I believe it is now sorted and for the moment they remain.

Tim and then gang are a little remote from Premier, whether that changes in future remains to be seen. I hope not because they are very good at their job and know their customers well. It would be nice to think Premier could learn from them rather than dictate and force unnecessary changes.

You can see why Premier wanted to buy the site.
