The three most useless things in a boat

Snooker Table ????

What an utterly rediculous suggestion. Plastimo make foldable magnetised marine snooker tables, which they brought out last year. We have one which we use a lot so I certainly wouldn't call it a useless thing to have on the boat.

Ya got me...nice one Jamie......

love the story of how you and liz met, they say the "love of your life will appear when you least expect it "

follow your blog all the time , it inspires me to push on and get the boat finished and follow in the wake of yourselves and others.

have fun, Rach. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hehehehe. No problem, Rach. Glad you enjoy the log. Right now we're stuck in Marmaris with minor electrical issues but all good otherwise.

Am thinking of adding a new section to the log: REAL Sailing Stereotypes. A bit like Peyton's cartoons but without the diplomacy. I've already written Germans In Black Speedos.....

Other useless things on a boat, apart from me:

fenders
charts
lines

Would a rubber rule be usefull for drawing a great circle course? Or were you refering to a rubber model of the Queen?

At the risk of being pedantic, Adventure didn't win the first Whitbread. "Sayula II skippered by Ramon Carlin won the overall race in a time of 133 days 13 hours." See also this site url/http://www.solarnavigator.net/volvo_ocean_race_and_whitbread_round_the_world_history.htm/url
