The season is ending, but not over...

OK so with the days closing in and weather getting worse, we decided to bring Mr. Cranki back to our local marina for the winter. I still plan on using the boat for spins up the river etc. on nice evenings so won't take her out until after Christmas for her annual dry-out / maintenance etc.

Some random pics of Lough Corrib, where we're based. Phone pics so not great quality but you get the idea....

The Guinness family used to own this island and built a 'Tea/Coffee house' where they used to enjoy Sunday tea/coffee with a bit of a view. Here we are facing West to the Maam mountains

I was going to comment on OF's thread that the scenery and style of boating you guys do is very similar to ours. Of course, us both have the ice age to thank for the cruising grounds.

You would get along fine out here with my boating mates Alt, most evenings the group heads ashore for a campfire. It makes for a nice social gathering, even though you need to rotate around to avoid the smoke
