We made it to Vlieland, West Terschelling, Ameland, Borkum, Nordeney and Helgoland this summer. But with 1.4m draft we sailed to the north of the islands!

I have been through the Frisians many times, but with 1.5+m draft have never explored much. I have not been to Ameland or Terschelling but Texel is also interesting. We first visited Vlieland in company with a young Dutch couple. As I worked with a Dutchman at home I sent them on a mission to buy a naughty postcard to send him, and they came back with a dozen.

The watt from Delfzijl to Norderney is passable with a draft of up to nearly 2m but is not so easy when going east. It is useful when the weather is adverse, as it often is.
