Urggg. It's such a crass name - I may go back to the fuel bunker. 'Fraid I cannot agree to the boards terms, without consultation from SWMBO, and that would require a consdierable degree of explanation.

1. It's a name more suited to a Bayliner but not a European boat
2. SWMBO will kill me
3. Is it not bad luck to change the name?
4. SWMBO will kill me

On the positive side MBC regulars would always crack up when they see her.

Inordinate Sentance

I respectfully refuse the punishment proposed by the DFLGate thread, I withdraw the offer of Port, and stuff your bunkerage (channeling the ghost of DF_Light here)!

If required I will give up posting rights to MBC, leave this hallowed ground and venture only onto the saily side of the forum, I could even agree to no posts for a period of time, or "sniff, sniff" hand in my sheckle and drop off the forum all together.

I will not now, nor ever name my boat "Miami Vice II" - how about Hyperion?

I do not refer to HLB's boat in my title above but to the suitably grovelly apology which I expect will appear shortly. As if I would wind up anyone!

As for the criminal himself, well if JFM does'nt want the Port, I'll have it thank you. Otherwise I will be forced to give the old thumbs down signal to Ceasar Hollamby!

What about changing his BB name to BarryMV2? Or BarryMiami? or BaylinerBarry? Or suchlike, as permanent "branding", all medieval style. And KH can organise it.

Otherwise he cd just slappit on and then off again (blimmineck def GW who thort it up..) Plus some jfm-approved qty of drinks at some point in the future= rather a lot.

Alright then, since he's about to appeal to Strasbourg under Human Rights Convention that sentence is too harsh, that's a good compromise. Anyway, let's be pragmatic, we all have to agree a sentence by midnight tonight (=5.30pm or thereabouts) so Kim can post his hotmail string for us to see (I think that's wot you sed kim?)

So here's the deal, for ratification please

1. BarryD is branded by e-hot-iron to BarryMiamiVice (Kim to organise plse)
2. At some forum meet up/disorg rally next spring/summer or whatever BarryMV has to buy a large round for everyone (drink, not fuel). GW has to help him carry them.
3. Kim posts hotmail string wherein BarryMV protested he was a nice newbie treated harshly by lions or wotever
4. Everyone acknowledges the Nick Robinson is totally innocent (well, seems to be, of this charge anyway)

Conditions:

1. I request to be re-branded as BarryMVII, if Kim cannot achieve this then I will re-register as BarryMVII
2. I would proabbly have done this anyway!
3. Down to Kim but I can retrieve some of it from DF_Lights hotmail account.
4. N/A - he is bound to be guilty of something

NB: If I buy a Bayliner then no-one gives me any stick!

Someone can\'t take a joke

Grief - I'm setting to not accept PM, and using the "Not Appear On-Line" option. If I receive any more email to my hotmail account I will be forced to back track and identify the sender. It is possible (well that's how Kim found me).

Well knock me sideways with a wet kipper. Only just got into this thread and shocked and stunned as to who the culprit is. So you all want to get hold of Barry's real work e-mail address, work and home 'phone numbers? Well I've got em just not too sure about posting 'em here (privacy stuff Kim?). No I'm not his accomplice, just offered him a day out on our boat, sort of took pity on him a la Matt with me and really fell for the "looking for a boat gambit".

Anyway he sent me a private e-mail which is still on the system Upshot is I know where he is.
What am I bid for this info?
Can we embarass him with his boss?
Would that be ethical?
Can we do wind ups back?
