Beers crap foods crap atmosphere is about all its got, Altho the italian next door is well worth a visit. Excellent food, excellent service and very affordable. If you have a table upstairs, the view over the Purbeck hills and the river helps the digestion.

Wha'dya mean "I'm always playing with this engine" its the only way to get it to run!

Should'a give me a bell, pubs:-
antelope.. never tried food there, don'tn intend to change that.
duke of wellington.. good beer and food, nice and quiet.
red lion.. bit too loud, smells of death, beer's bloody 'spensive.
kings arms.. if you get into a fight, you'll be thrown IN!
italian on quay.. as you say very good, my regular dining place.
new italian north street.. very good food, a little dearer.
nomads.. by the post office, expensive but if you like good food, esp french. go there
raj poot.. good value, good food, very freindly, good service.
and finally.. coppers, on the corner by the library, sell kababs, 'nuff said.
