The nore race

Indeed

The good ship Aurai has least entered and pencilled in a crew. Not sure we will have everything ready so may be listed as with spinnaker without the means to use it!! Must get on with the fitting out jobs.

I've got a Nore race trophy somewhere from Cat Racing days... up at oh gawd double oh to launch at Thorpe Bay, then wait around at the end of the pier for the start at 0900, our finish time was about 1045... Had to wait on a spit near Leigh for hours for enough water to get back to Thorpe Bay...

and that's why we love it so much :encouragement:

Just looked at the start time :disgust:, that means I will have to go round on the Saturday and try to pick up a visitors mooring at queenborough

Small gang of us

From HNYC will, likely, be in Sharfleet, and we note that Tugfest at QB on Saturday, then early trek over to start line. Good luck all and fingers X for organisers having it all go to plan. Weather looks moderate for us all.

Leaving the spinnaker in its bag might have cost us 30 minutes! Otherwise we seemed to get round the course reasonably efficiently for our last but one place in class and 36 (I think) overall. Lodestar went around very well and if results stand may even get two trophies as she is also wooden built. Well done each
