Splendid. I can’t see anyone spending the millions needed to make it viewable, sadly. I went on a Russian sub at Peenemunde, as part of their rocket museum, which was pretty interesting.

If you want to organise a group visit to the sub, the owner (John Sutton) is usually happy to oblige for a small fee. It's amazing inside. See the movie Black Sea starring Jude Law on YouTube.

i went on it when it used to be by the thames barrier as a musum sub. have since motored past it. I wish i could look onboard it again.

The submarine museum in Gosport is well worth a visit. Being in the X craft midget submarine must have been like crossing the North Sea under a car bonnet.
