Is live.

As with all of these things some of you will love me and some will hate me but please put all outright non boaty posts here:

http://www.ybw.com/forums/postlist.php/Cat/0/Board/Lounge

It is forum members eyes only but usual forum rules about abuse and so on still apply.

I'll work into this evening to set up RSS links for key forums and I'll start transferring over the obvious NB posts of the past few days.

I'm not going to get too silly about the odd bit of thread drift on boating related threads but please adhere to the new rules about other stuff.

Thanks
Kim

Great stuff, Kim. While you are on duty this evening, if you see all the worst offenders tucked into the Lounge, please lock the door and lose the key! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Kim

I went and had a look but have come back, its only been open less than 24hrs and all the peanuts and chrisps have gone already.

You cannot get to the bar all the regulars have nicked all the bar stools!

What is this NB message doing in the boaty section ??

all animals are equal but Kim is more equal ?

Re: Bar Stools

Dear Kim

In view of it's non-boatiness, shouldn't you transfer this thread to the lounge?

In all seriousness, thank you very much for transferring out the irrelevant stuff - there was so much of it I gave up looking at Scuttlebutt recently.

But not for long,eh?

No - only a couple of weeks - but I'd have stayed away if I hadn't read about the introduction of the lounge on the Classic Boat forum - I really was a bit fed up with the large number of threads that were either irrelevant or pointless, and interesting only to the participants. So much of it had very little to do with sailing or boats, and spoilt what is potentially a very good forum.

Re: Bar Stools

Hello, new member! typing very slow, but think I have the hang of things now, someone plears assure my that I am not typing to myself?

Thanks for reply.

Been Motor Boating most of my life, but quite new to sailing, may be looking for a yacht in the near future----should I be concerned about my newfound enthusiasm?
