Whole swathes of my job list have turned green in the last week. I am on target to launch at the end of April, ready for a shakedown before heading off to Oostende.

We have completed the major engine service, new alternator upgrade and engine realignment.
New electrical distribution panel completed
Wind and Solar now working
New table and locker doors due back from the Polisher on Wednesday
Floorboards off for respray this week.
Kiwiprop due back this week
New binnacle covers and repaired stack pack back this week,
New saloon double berth due for completion this week.
Transom removeable bulkhead due for completion tomorrow.
Antifouling rubbed down ready for new (free!) antifouling
Mast coming down on Tuesdayfor inspection and new bits.

With a decent run at it over Easter, we should be well on the way.
Not too long to go now.

My list has suddenly got very much shorter, but only because we launch next Thursday so I have had to re-compose it with a new heading: 'Stuff that must be done by Thursday'.
J'ai une Jeanneau 35 lift-keel comme 'Full Circle' out next to moi. He's not bothering with antifoul this year. Nor would I but I've got some free stuff to try out too.....

All plans here have been subjected to alteration due to having a shift change thrust at me, so even the lift out plan had to be changed. Now lifting first thing tomorrow, fingers crossed. Once out it's going to be flat out to get things sorted enough to launch again, though haven't had time to work out exactly when I'm off so the schedule for the boat is now being worked out on a day by day basis.
Work is the curse of the leisure activity, but at least I can afford that pot of antifoul this year, specially as it's a good price
Ta muchly Roger

Well done Dave, keep at it.

Despite a good weekend, the jobs list remains pretty much the same length, this due to the purchasing of goodies which need to be fitted. However, we had a fantastic quick outing yesterday up towards Levington. Just an hour and a bit, but enough to put a smile on the face.

I put the sails back on on Saturday (main repaired where the baton escaped and repares to the other baton sleeves), measured up for a new non-baggy main too.

Service to the engine didn't happen due to none of the chandlers knowing what a Beta Marine engine was (Philistines!) and not being able to provide me with a filter. Now off to Halfords to by a Ford Puma filter.

Mast is now down, but what an epic struggle!

Wind gusting, backing and veering up to 20 kts.
We had to strop onto the lower spreaders which meant the mast was top heavy.
We had 8 of us all controlling various bits of rope to try and hold the mast getting out of control.
We managed to get the forestay foil the wrong side of the crane jib, which gave us a moment or two. But thanks to a decent hard working non panicking team, we wrestled it to the floor onto barrels chocked with wood.
Thanks to all the guys from Roach Sailing Association, I learned a lot today, as we put up 4 and took down 2.
The tea and cake was splendid.

Gave the instruction to the joiners to fit out the cupboard with shelving for the glasses, and inceased the total size of the saloon double infill panel by 30mm width, as Mr & Mrs FC had a test on the bedroom floor last night using the proposed cushion arrangement, and felt we needed to maximise the width.

Setback is no trimmer on the cushion job at the moment, and the weather is not looking clever for deck fittings work over the weekend.

New job added to the list here, repair hole where through hull transducer used to be before lifting out. Not sure I want to go below just yet, but then I should have thought about it before saying yes to the strop position

Paint some strop marks under the toe rail.....

I say, steady on old chap, this ain't the lounge y'know, this is the EC family forum.

Fortunately, for the fertile imagination, we are married, and were certainly not deshabilee.
I apologise for any offence caused, and will ensure that the new modesty panels meet the Bodily Bits on Public Display Act 1865.

As an aside, I have a trimmer, as recommended by a Marconian of my acquaintance.

Aah the joys of running around like a blow fly in a bottle with 20 things going on at one time and 19 of depending the efforts of others, I 19 because it's not natural to be doing more than one thing at once, walking and chewing accepted.

The truth is that after all that rush and worry the reward of getting under sail again makes it all worth while, even more so if every check you make requires no action, you get a bit more of a buzz from the first sail.

Hope everything goes better than expected for you and the other EC posters.

Good luck......

The most excellent Vecta Marine have turned round my Kiwiprop rebuild in front of the promise date, and for a very reasonable cost.
(If anyone is wondering, I have been chopping up rope, debris and large lumps of wood with my prop)

I am chasing the polisher bloke, as he was supposed to deliver today.....

For those of you who have slept on my v.short port single berth, it is now 2 ft longer. Bliss for someone eventually, but not me, unless I manage to blow all my accrued Brownie points, and then some.

The 5v power supplies for the Netbook peripherals arrived today, hurrah. And a replenishment of the electrical crimps box from ebay.

So, really looking forward to the weekend now, hope the weather is a bit clement, as I want to set up the gybe preventer deck fittings, and the locking genoa footblocks.

Also the fabled free International Micron Extra in a fetching shade of Navy arrived today too. All 21.07kg of it. Congratulations go to FedEx for denting the tins in transit.

And thanks to oldsaltoz for his kind words......
