The last chapter - Gludy Saga Sequel

You could do but the program is actually on Monday 18th Jan :-)

I am not able to see the BBC South channels. If I try and use BBC iPlayer, how can I see a specific channel from 'out of area' all I seem to be able to get are the London channels?

Paul, what is the actual program called so I can try and do a search?

I don't have access to the Sky satellite channels.

"Inside Out South"

Should be there no more than 1 hour after air time

Not the Paul you expected but thought I'd help

According to the electronic programme guide "Jane Cuthill travels back to 1970s Dorset to visit Tucktonia"

Not quite what we were expecting?!

I think any member who wants to see the sequel to my saga unfold itself should be sure to watch BBC South Inside Out Programme on the 18th January. Those who miss it can see it on the BBC iPlayer the next day.

I cannot discuss what is on this program and there will be no hints but I can say it should be of interest to those who like to see the end game. It should not be missed. I am imply trying to make sure that the maximum number of members see it, hence this post.

I received a great deal of help from this forum in that saga and without the publicity would not have won the refund. So its only fair that those interested see the end game.

I did tell you on this return that there would be a good old Gludy thread soon :-) :-)

Not on!

I suspect there is a Inside Out West (cycling in Bristol), Inside Out Midlands (dental bills) and Inside Out South - which leads with... I have no idea as we can't get it (tho may be on iPlayer later).

Paul - can tell us about it now as you're only reporting what appeared on TV anyway?

I watched channel 984. It didn't appear.

This is true, I usually zap to watch the most interesting I can find - and often end up by catching a tail end of one I should have viewed!

But I did keep an eye on South, it was not on there - not surprised really in view of the subject.

"exposing the boat broker leaving a trail of devastation and debt in their wake ...."

That is the write up an it is on next Monday. Now that is written I can say a little more.

IMHO the programme will do a real public service in showing just 'part' of what has been going on.

It does not cover my story but by being a victim for a while I managed to learn a lot of history and I also did my very best to warn people. I was therefore only too willing to offer what leads I had to a highly motivated reporter.

At the time of my problem I could not report all I knew - I had to confine myself to my story alone. So it nice to know that what goes around comes around and that at least part of the rest is coming out.

I will never forget the support that the magazines that owned these forums gave to me at that time despite many threats and much postering. Nobody can ever claim that they simply follow the advertisers.

The programme was good in exposing 'part' of the truth.
Selling boats without clearing the mortgage.
Selling boats and not declaring the true price to the owner etc.

I really feel sorry for those who have had their dreams shattered.

I feel very lucky to have escaped.

I hope that everyone in the boating world spreads the message wide and clear.

IMHO they should not be in business to be given the chance to carry on the way they have.

Very informative ... thanks !!!

I am truly sorry for all who have lost boats, money, belief in the industry, sleep and increased stress with potential negative health impact...

Family have obvioulsy benefited from the proceeds and there should be ways of stopping this in the Company's Act !!!! ...and ways of recovering the losses..

Sound advise from Financial Advisor ...

Programme highlights some of the dangers, but un-fortiunately was only aired on BBC South, so limited numbers of viewers... Would be great to continue the story on "Watchdog" and for complete BBC audience to expose properly.

Makes me happy to have dealt with a serious Italian broker, rather than a rouge trader here (pun intended!!!) !!

Will post BBC iplayer link to Scandinavian forum as well !!!

Once again ....... Thank You !!
