Nice little village. We walked there from the marina last year for the first time - 20-30 minutes. It was steak night and very full. Not surprising given the prices. Like many old pubs it felt a bit under-invested. It's a big place but would need to be good enough to attract non-locals given the lack of chimney pots in the village. Time for another visit...
I lived a few doors away for a number of years - a smart landlord, Roger I think. Kept a busy spit and sawdust one side and a thriving no-frills eatery the other side. Not a particularly welcoming chap but boy could he run a pub.
I was there last thursday doing a demo of russian guitar amplifiers with a mate of mine (long story, different life..........). his band is playing Sunday night starting at 7.00 pm if any forumite fancies seeing a live band in Bradwell. band is called The Gents........so you can guess what the logo is........
