Great, thanks
As I mentioned when this video was posted on the PBO forum, a friend and I visited the Gun Inn late last season and found the Landlord and ( presumably ) landlady very friendly and welcoming; the pub itself is like a museum, which is how I prefer them.
The pub was not serving food that evening but the sailing club was incredibly friendly and helpful, treating us very well; it's not often my boat has been the only one visiting a place in an evening.
One thing though, on a selfish note it's a shame the place is being publicised so much, everyone we met was keen to keep it as it is so I hope hordes don't descend and spoil it.
At least the shallow depth and deterrent pilot guides may help preserve it to an extent.
"hordes won't descend" because of the landlord.
Also because of the tidal constraints. Strange that you need to be a bit of a risk taker to sail yet so many won't try out constrained harbours and creeks. I draw nearly 2M but still manage to push in to some quirky and delightful spots. Long may it be that way, I guess.
Can I suggest you put in the title of your Youtube videos not just the pub name, but also the town/village where it is located? For example, episode 3 - The Ship Inn. I can think of at least 3 pubs of that name in the vicinity of the Solent (including Chichester Harbour). There is also one in Swanage. Took me a while to work out that you were going to the one in Itchenor.

Much thanks for posting, just watched the entire series, best thing I've seen on youtube in a longtime. Really enjoyed, unpretentious sailing. Glad to see there are some characters left in the world. I would come sailing with you guys and I'm picky.
A cracking video, Dave. Will now watch the rest of 'em. Thanks.
Out of interest what camera are you using?
I have been right up to the quay a couple of times with a 1m draft long keel - although if you do it at springs (which coincides with lunch time) you can stay afloat long enough to have a leisurely lunch at the Gun. Next year will try with my new boat which has 1.5m draft.
Not able to sleep this morning I watched all Dave &Dave's offerings and jolly entertaining they were........ some relaxed sailing with a concise overviews of the journey plus some good banter!....... really enjoyed it .
