For those of you that fondly remember the boats of Howard’s Way I’ve just sailed past the Flying Fish Laser 28 moored on the Hamble. She looked absolutely immaculate.
Yes, I believe so. Maybe Trigger's Broom but the same boat.Is that the actual boat that featured in HW?
New mast, different sails, replacement engine, later changed the hull?Yes, I believe so. Maybe Trigger's Broom but the same boat.
Maybe, or at least patched the hole - Sunken yacht creates hazard in Hamble entrance - Practical Boat Owner.. later changed the hull?
You might be wondering what happened to Barracuda which in real life was the race boat Bob Fisher owned. She now carries out charters in the Antarctic. It's been messed around with but good to see she's still well used.
Concept Voile Croisières au Cap Horn, aux glaciers de Patagonie et Antarctique" is their website. I think I saw some photos a while back where you can see the old Barracuda name faded on the twin horseshoe buoys
As a slightly related thread drift, I’m embarrassed to confess that I loved that programme when it was first transmitted, and last winter whilst housebound and bored I re-watched the first few episodes. It’s fair to say that time has not been kind to it< but it was lovely to see today’s familiar places as they were.
