I like to think that I live in two worlds, that of reality and that of the imagination. The latter includes such items as dreams and fancies, beauty, art, ethics and for those who want it, religion. I have no problem keeping these apart, unlike engineers who are lacking part of their functioning brains. I look forward to her next contribution and hope that she noticed that there was an element of tongue-in-cheek about what she took as criticism, and that the poster(s) concerned have also already been put in their place.

Wow! I didn't mean to be perceived as rude, but the older I get the more I tell it as I feel it.
I'll rephrase it to: As an engineer I can take or leave the imaginative stuff. Could I please ask her politely if she could please write about galvanic corrosion between stainless and aluminium alloys?
I had a hard time with English lang & lit at school. The best bit about the school was leaving.

I also know the thing about getting older and being perceived as rude and things I meant to be funny taken seriously. The idea of somebody who can use words to make the problem stuff seem not as bad is great.
I usually just swear at this stuff.
I never did get the English at school and agree about the best bit, I did enjoy the holidays though.

Please don’t go away Mrs Clown. I think you write beautifully and I’m sure that LL was only being funny. It’s easy to perceive a note of criticism where none exists on these fora ( new word stolen from here) as i know from my previous posts. Best to read them again a couple of days later and they don’t seem rude at all.
