Blowing a gale in clotted cream land today, 27° yesterday & not a zephyr of breeze here in midgie territory, & boy, were they having a party at dusk last night!

On the up side, a trip round the Mull looks very possible on Thursday. Or even tomorrow, but it would be sacrilege to spend a night at Gigha without bankrupting myself at The Boathouse.
We came round the MoK on Saturday, we had zero knots around the Mull itself and northerly 35kts (apparent) from Sanda to Campbeltown, the raindrops felt like dried peas fired from a catapult!
Agree about the midges. Best population control we have.
Sitting in the cockpit in Gott Bay (with a beautiful sunset) just now contemplating a trip to Ulva tomorrow with the Northerlies coming in. Thought we might make it to Loch Spelvie this weekend but as it is the end of three weeks out we need time to sort out before work on Monday... Bummer. :nonchalance:
I'm heading round the Mull on Thursday. Probably get a sleep stop at Arran on way south, then round Friday morning on the tide, past Gigha and north for Loch Spelve. Need another stop for breath somewhere perhaps near Scarba or so. If we pass, we can wave!
Only the wooses. :encouragement:yes it sends most of you south to annoy us
