Hi guys , lv just spent and hour and a half cleaning bird sh*t of my cockpit enclosure but the imprints are still in the canvas weave . To save my sanity does anyone has a tried and tested method of removing it all . Its the white stuff that soaks in . Im not shy about using chemicals so long as it doesn't attack the canvas ?👍👍...... cheers Terry

My spray hood, decks and solar panel well anointed, too. I confess that I just get the worst off and let the rain do the rest. Some of that just starting outside..............

Just don’t worry about it. It’s what birds do do. Wash/scrub the worst ofit off with water and rain will do the rest. If royalty is visiting shortly, then visit your friendly local chandlery and buy some cleaning product specially made for it.

Move your boat.

In the past I've found that birds have certain area that they like, as a result the boat owners spend hours cleaning while 100 metres down river the boats never need cleaning.

We are invading their space.

True. My boat is near the corner of the marina and is clearly a favoured perch for gull and pigeons. My neighbour's mast is a bit shorter and provided little protection for me though few boats are immune from the occasional visit. Just occasionally a random boat will get the full works for no obvious reason.
