The best AND the worst marina shower facilities in the Solent?

Thank you for all the replies which are interesting to read.
My vote would be Port Solent as the best showers facilities and my home port of Bucklers Hard as the very worst. It surprised me that Bucklers Hard was barely mentioned. Maybe it is too far from the sea for many of you to visit.

I wouldn't put Buckler's Hard down as the worst, but they're certainly down there. The worst for me were Royal Clarence. A ludicrously long walk, out of the marina (any facilities that require you to leave the marina automatically drop to the bottom) and they weren't particularly new.

This could only ever be a solent post!

Ahah! Does this mean that in your stamping ground sailors never wash? Or maybe your yacht is so luxuriously well-equipped that you have full H&C facilities on board? And holding tanks to avoid polluting the water.

My own thoughts, entirely. Next we'll be rating which pontoons have the best cleats ....

Chris now there is a thought....

If you could point me in the right direction where pontoons have moveable cleats that would be great as most of the fingers that I berth on are fitted with cleats to suit raggies :(

I may ask our marina to move our rear cleat forward by a a couple of feet to suit our current boat

The people who design and build marina showers should be forced to use them. When they have been scalded/frozen and found there was nowhere to put the soap they would then have to get out and try and dry themselves with a sodden towel, then put on trousers that had been soaked by spray, and empty the water out of their shoes. After that they might take a bit more care to produce facilities that work. :)

I agree entirely - well said
