The Best after sales service ever?
I have just been speaking to a VERY nice man.
Graham Hill of LVM Ltd who make Aerogen wind generators as well as a range of other things.
I bought an Aerogen3 from him in 1984 and returned it for service two days ago as it had stopped charging during the last eleven years that it has been hanging, redundant on the garage wall. The fact that #1 son had taken it to Prague for an International Scout Camp in 1997 to power his laptop and had admitted to doing some "corrective re-wiring" might have had something to do with this!
Anyway I just got the news from Mr Hill that is has been repaired, test run and passed as fit for another 21 years service (but none of them likely to be on the garage wall!)
And the cost?
He wouldn't take a bean! Not even two beans, not even for the return carriage. However £10 is going into the Lifeboat box on the counter downstairs in his name.
"We don't get many returned so it's nice to see an old one and see how it's got on over the years" was his attitude.
As I said, I just spoke to a VERY nice man - who makes cracking good equipment IMO.
