The Best after sales service ever?

I have just been speaking to a VERY nice man.

Graham Hill of LVM Ltd who make Aerogen wind generators as well as a range of other things.

I bought an Aerogen3 from him in 1984 and returned it for service two days ago as it had stopped charging during the last eleven years that it has been hanging, redundant on the garage wall. The fact that #1 son had taken it to Prague for an International Scout Camp in 1997 to power his laptop and had admitted to doing some "corrective re-wiring" might have had something to do with this!

Anyway I just got the news from Mr Hill that is has been repaired, test run and passed as fit for another 21 years service (but none of them likely to be on the garage wall!)

And the cost?

He wouldn't take a bean! Not even two beans, not even for the return carriage. However £10 is going into the Lifeboat box on the counter downstairs in his name.

"We don't get many returned so it's nice to see an old one and see how it's got on over the years" was his attitude.

As I said, I just spoke to a VERY nice man - who makes cracking good equipment IMO.

Stand up Munster Sims

Munster Sims, what make various pumps.

I broke the handle on my galley pump which was probably original on the boat so 20 something years old.

"Shouldn't have broken sir." New one arrived free-of-charge, next day. Together with a complementary spares kit.

Re: The Best after sales service ever?

Agreed.... very happy with my OLD aerogen (think its about 10 years old)... runs a treat, and produces a v healthy charge..... not had cause to contact them, but glad to hear that they offer such a sterling after sales service....

Re: The Best after sales service ever?

Had the same experience abt 5 years ago when my dinghy inflation pump packed in. - great piece of equipment, great service.

Re: The Best after sales service ever?

I completely agree he helped me out when I broke my aerogen, and as it was used on the Mary Rose, and the magnets were no longer available, he supplied a new stator for free. And of course its still working. Seldom today does one find such excellent service. I am expecting a bid from the navy who most likely want to fit it to the new aircraft carrier.
