The Artist formally known as 'No Regrets'...

As commented elsewhere, trust you to go for a Scandanavian lady with two big 'ins....

As most of us have forum names that do not refer to the name of our boats, I see no reason for you to cease being "No Regrets".

In addition, you really could not get away with being "Fifty Shades". !!

Ah remember back in the day when you first arrived at T&K with the little brown day boat coz you just wanted to get out on the water..... then deciding something bigger was in order then the sporty looking little Scarni[spelling] arrived to be followed by the Birchwood and then your beloved Broom and now a new chapter .
Bigger back deck it`s time to get a proper dog....roll eyes icon....you will eventually end up with a narrow boat.....cough!!!
Hope you are both well and look forward to seeing you and your new toy on the river sir.........Steve ,Alex and the hounds.

She's semi planing and low wash, so best of both worlds dahling!

When compared to the two Fairline Mirage aft cabins on offer at Bray for a sort of similar price, your Scand IMO is far superior both in terms of specification, accommodation, ability to go coastal and, most importantly, terrific value for money ;).

Well done and look forward to spotting it on the river (or coast :D).

We know a couple who have got one and we have to say she is a cracker of a boat. They have a pair of AD41's in theirs though. It was very impressive when it ploughed on in sea conditions that kept us at displacement speeds, we soon caught them up again when the sea ironed out a bit though :D

So when are we going to see you on the coats?

I suspect the only thing low washed is you, sorry meant to say unwashed! I did think that as you owned a Broom, that you might be a person of good taste, but now I can see I was completely wrong!:p:D

Sailers :) tend to be a conservative lot in more ways than one and will sometimes spend far more than they need to get a boat.
NRs boat is as good an example of this as you can get, being a perfectly good boat using the exactly same running gear/electronics/electrics probably all sourced from Vetus,as the "British" boat next door on the brokerage pontoon.
It will sell for thousands less simply because it does not have a well known name on the outside, even though this particular "foriegn" boat will be a very popular brand elsewhere and have sold hundreds outside UK..

Look at the boat not the brand. ?

Still awaiting a decision on No Regrets, as my fave Broker (wisely) wants to take a peek at her bottom before confirming...

However, I feel there will be nothing other than the usual osmostic stuff to worry about (Which the new boat has plenty of apparently, which doesn't worry me a bit...)

So, here's to tomorrow!! :)

Are you having the new boat surveyed ?

No, my brokers explained how it is in no uncertain terms. It's a 28 year old boat with osmosis and probably plenty of things to sort out, now I don't need a surveyor to repeat that for £500!!

I have seen people have boats surveyed, and subsequently spent £5000 over the next six months fixing things that went wrong. I have a few plans to upgrade a few things, and a budget just in case.
