No winter sailing for me. Sails came off on Monday. Electronics came off today. She is coming out on Friday. To tell you the truth I sort of feel relieved for some reason. All that is left is to seal her up and put the dehumidifier on. Must not forget to leave a 100W bulb on to keep the temperature up so that the dehumidifier does not freeze up. See you all out there after Easter. Happy Christmas.

Don\'t let Sarah here you

Anybody who owns their own boat and looks after their boat and doesn't thrash them to bits a whole year round and then buy a new one (up grading) every two years will be drummed off this magazine.

And now for the Banter !

After sailing her, the next best thing is doing all those things you said you would do in a boatyard.

I kind think of nothing better than learning from others and having a thoroughly good yarn to while away the winter. The fact that you achieve little is not important - you even find out that stink potters are just like you and me !

What's needed though is a kind of star system like the AA list hotels - where you can get the best company, best advice and probably make the best new friends........

Re: And now for the Banter !

wot ..those things that wont sail without a motor..or wont motor without a sail..??

Re: And now for the Banter !

She will motor without the sails, But I agree about the no sail without motor, Unless its really blowing! but in the med? Two types of boats, motor boats and motor boats with masts!

Re: And now for the Banter !

True maybe cc I see a lot of charter sailing boats just going flat out with engine ..I think it must be cheaper to rent a sail boat with a big engine..dont tell southchina though...

You must be a complete idiot not sailing all winter. All the more sea for us.

I'm staying in all winter, but I think it's because I'm a complete idiot ;o)
