Airports are for airplanes to land on. There is not supposed to be 11m of water there.

The feb 2014 swell that did so much damage was 26ft with an 18sec period. Usually period is10-12secs. Long waves hold lots of water. The extreme is a tsunami which may be only a few feet high but immensely long.

Every time, they forecast death and destruction and then start winding back. Either they are afraid of a Michael Fish moment or the computer models are out of date.
