Thanks also to Pheonix's for sheltering us from the rain in the afternoon.
 
Cracking sail back - averaged 5kts over the ground against the tidal stream in the wallet. Surfing at 7.5kts at time and had a SAR helo and 2 RNLI ribs playing off Clacton to watch.

Crept back into Brightlingsea just as tide turned with maybe 50cm under keel.

Just got to drive back to Yorkshire now after shower, leaving some washing and dinner at home of course!

Thanks again Lisa. Hope everyone else had a good trip back - particularly Vince and John!

A great weekend, well done Lisa. Nice to meet some new faces and catch up with the old ones :)

A bit rolly down to Walton but then a cracking sail down the benign Wallet. Some squally bits and 5 mins of hail but 4hrs 45min to Bradwell :):)

Now we have Fitted Up the boat is coming out for a couple of weeks.:( Ho hum.

Yep thanks from the Wild Otter crew, and starving children. All had a good time. Thanks also to Ali & Gordon for putting up with us rafting alongside and providing afternoon tea in the warm. Hope we didn't scare Lyn off, enjoyed her company at dinner. Lovely weekend, if a little cold.

thanks to lisa for organizing a great dinner and providing me with transport,food and good company all weekend. It was really nice to meet up with old and not so old friends. Throughly enjoyed sharing a table with the wild otters. Jim will be delighted with his 'trophy' and was sorry not to be there with us, hopefully he'll be around for the fitting up supper.

Thanks Lisa , I had a great time , the food was lovely , meeting new friends and trying to match names to forum names to boat names , even the hail stones couldn't spoil it ,looking foward to the next meet up now , never know it might even be on my own boat :rolleyes:
