A few on here keep asking how much Thames water pay towards the waterways .
Ive known a guy quite high up in the company for a while now and i bumped into him at the weekend so i asked him . Although he didnt give any figures he did say a fooking lot more than you boat owners .
He said in the days when everything was government owned there where deals to be done as they all loked after each other but since (1989) ? when Thames water became private , they are told what they pay and how much water they can take from three rivers . If they go over the amount of water they are allowed to take there are massive fines .
He also said that if they didnt take the water alot of the non tidal Thames would be flood planes .
Please dont ask me any questions because i wont know the answer and i wont confront my friend like i did at the weekend again as it felt wrong .
