Where do tidal Thames boaters vote, don't say other waterway. Another world by the sound of some of the posts here. Definitely not many narrow boats hanging about for
long. Lots of EA licenced boats, without boaters, thrashing through with no respect for other craft moored. Even when they are not narrow boats.
We are on the the tidal Medway,so have voted in the other waterway bit.We do pay a licence fee amounting to the princely sum of £40 pa,this may not seem a lot of money to you Thaemes lot but to us poor Medway bouys ... etc etc etc.......... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

In the context of this survey, 'Other waterway' is the correct choice.
I didn't ask where you keep your boat, simply what licence you have and what type of boat. Boats kept on the tideway or River Wey but with EA Annual licences would vote accordingly - with no EA licence they are 'Other waterway'
EA Thames and BW are the two main annual licences most likely to use the non-tidal Thames, boats from 'Other waterways' are likely to enter on visitors licences. I figured that boats registered with EA or BW would be most likely to buy Gold licences if they visit the other extensively - interestingly, no-one has yet revealed a Gold of either flavour.

The nature of the beast is that they will usually make a quick dash with the tide for their intended destination off the tideway. Where in London are you? Would have thought you would see plenty passing through the Teddington-Brentford stretch?

Do I detect gentle sarcasm, a lack of headgear or remote control cruisers? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I'm in Putney/Fulham the number of boaterless boats is unreal even when we are there
I hate to think what it is like when we are not. Can not blame any particular sector
either every boat class does it. The new proposed speed limits will be like most new laws lately, not enforced. So just grin and bear it in the hope that the occasional post will eventually slow one or two boats.

If I put mine end to end they wouldn't be as long as yours, and that is saying something considering our relative ages. As for Doolittle, we'd all be smaller....
