Right, this is far more boat related. The first video I've shot using my Canon 600 DSLR camera. A totally different concept to using a camcorder, you have to think about each shot far more and set things up a little.

That said once you get used to it you can still sneak in a few impromptu bits as and when you spot them.

I have been trying to avoid zooming and panning recently and using the Canon forces you to do this as it doesn't have a power zoom like a camcorder. Everything is tripod based as well due to the weight. You probably end up working more like a commercial film production company would.

Krabi is a lovely area and Phnag Nga bay is one of those places everyone should visit at least once in their lives. A select few will get to enjoy it on board their own boat.

The Nakamanda Resort is somewhere we have been coming to since it opened and the owner is a good friend so I shot the video as a Christmas present to him, hence the titles at the end.

A video shot in the Krabi region of Thailand Once the link is open click on the cog icon and select HD

Original soundtrack banned by EMI, a shame as it was an artist you wouldn't have heard of but having listened would have downloaded the album. Their loss :) Thanks & much love to Lasswell for the royalty free music.

It will be something to do with the fact YouTube sees your pad as a mobile device and the owners of the music, EMI are fussy about where it is seen. Not sure where they allow or don't allow but hopefully UK on a static device should be fine.

The other video is a different record company.

I did post up a slightly modified 2nd link which could help iPads on the other video. I will do the same with this one.

Henry :)

No joy here either :(

"This video contains content from EMI, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

edit: this came when on the MacBook

Same here also Henry - we not viewing on Apple by the way ;)

Good to see someone is working today whilst on holiday in paradise to keep us fellow forumites entertained whilst we are quietly suffering with relatives being with us - keep it up H ;)

Nope, nada, niente.

To be fair you are in Brazil. I don't have a Brazilian youtube account.

I'm not fully sure how all this third party content thing works on the tube. What makes 1 video available everywhere and another restricted. There is a company name at the end of the video but I don't think that matters.

Who knows ?

Looking forward to watching this when it's sorted buddy. Always wanted to go to Thailand but Deb hasn't been keen, until her brother came back and raved about the region. Will hopefully holiday out there in 2013.

Thailand is an amazing place, do it!

BUT, don't just do 2 weeks down South at the beaches - take 6/8 weeks and explore the whole country. Or disappear for a few months like I did and see Thailand/Laos/Cambodia/Vietnam! We're hooked and going to go back next year hopefully, but go a little more off the beaten track this time

Right then, new link in place. I did manage to host the original video but not in very good quality at dailymotion so I've popped another soundtrack on which is royalty free and so everyone is happy.

The video isn't quite finished but you get the idea.

Henry :)
