Just installed the entry level system, boat out of the water, the wind is easy to test by blowing on the cups etc but dificult to test the speed depth: detected temperature ok but the displays default to speed and cant get depth, will it all sort out once the boat is in the water and the transducer can gather data? presumably if the hull module transmits temperature it must be working? any hints from other owners? The manual is ok but not too detailed.

Mine didn't read depth until it was in the water.

The outfit I got the instruments from screwed up the order a couple of times so I ended up with a wind display that wasn't networked so I thought I was in for a trip up the mast.
A call to Tacktick sorted that out- they told me to start the networking sequence then hoist the display up the mast in a bag- worked a treat.

I like their instruments. So easy to install and no power drain. ( except for the depth)

Hi, just fitted the same myself. Got speed to register in air by twiddling the paddle-wheel. Depth showed a row of dashes until boat in the water. Worked OK then. Second boat I've had with this kit - it's not let me down.
Yet.
