Testing an Iridium Satphone without a SIM card?

I have an Iridium 9505A satphone which I would like to test before selling it.
I don't want to buy airtime just for a test.
Is there a way? It's immaculate and switches on and holds a charge, but I can't prove 100% it works.
I'm fairly sure it won't take a normal mobile SIM.
Has anyone else found a way?

One way is to find a gentlemanly customer like ME who is looking for one; promise me a refund if it doesn't work.

I'm under the impression that you can buy a pre-paid card for pennies and see if it receives a call from landline?

As I mentioned, I am looking...

can you borrow a sim card from a friend?

they are not registered to a particular phone.

you can't use a Go sim card in a handset, but any handset sim card will work

I've just tried a new ee SIM card, and it is the wrong shape (slightly) . I think I will just advertise it in the For Sale section.
