Morning all,
Arrived at boat on Thursday to find that my quicksilver air deck had been pinched along with a fuel tank.
No one at Foulkes saw or heard anything but I have narrowed it down to between 23/6 and 1/7.

Just letting everyone know so they can upgrade their security as I have heard that this is not the first boat to go missing recently.

All quite bizarre really as my dinghy was far from the best and taking it would not have been straightforward.

On the plus side, I am out on the water and have been for two days...

Quite possibly kids. Happened to me at the Foulkes place. Head up river in another dinghy and check all the little creeks and inlets. You might find it. I found mine that way.

Thieving little oiks! Have you checked around that there's no CCTV etc that might overlook (Pubs, shops etc)?

I have to confess that your last sentence made me smile: visions of a boat moored mid-river and no tender with the excuse "Sorry I can't get to work, I'm marooned on the boat..."

...On the plus side, I am out on the water and have been for two days...

And Brian who owns the Atlantic 38 also had his 9.9 yamaha stolen from the same marina probably the same time. Surely someone knows where all this year is going . Titchfield boat jumble tomorrow, maybe it's there. Makes me wonder about bothering with a nice dinghy and outboard these days , HM and police are nit interest at all. River police only patrol in the daylight hours , what good is that when the thieves are in bed.

Just returned back from boat. No internet (what a pleasure.) No sign of the dingy but I think it was well thought out. The also found my fuel tank, had time to lower the boat from the snap davits... Not easy as it overlaps the ropes of our neighbour, fixed on an engine and fuel and off they went.

Truth be told, I am glad they didn't damage the boat in any way.

Anthony Foulkes mentioned to me to be careful with my RIB at the yard a few weeks ago because a known thief has recently returned after a period away, presumably at HM pleasure. Might be worth a word.
