Temporary fixing of plastic pipe

You could use this:-
Freefix 6470-W-2
to stick small pieces of wood in place, then use screws to instal 40mm waste pipe clips after the wood is securely attached
or use it to stick electrical trunking in place

OK, today I learn that what I used myself was "trunking" (rectangular, detachable lid, you can cut a succession of slots in the uprights of the U shaped part to make it take up a concave curve) and what I've seen elsewhere and used inside walls in houses is "conduit" (round edges, not openable) and I'm sorry I never looked that up before. I usually just grab the stuff off the shelf without looking at the label. Both are available in 50mm width at least.

I would use spots of double sided tape, or an instant glue like superglue to hold it in place while the permanent solution set

Reporting back. My double sided tape was up in Oban so I used Power Grab 'n' Bond. Thanks for the pointer!

I held my pipe in place with props and it worked well. No need for extra holding now, I think. Today I used it to put a plywood panel onto grp (for charger, solar mppt, etc.). Worked like magic - held the ply immediately, No chance of moving it.

I think my previous problems with grab adhesives has been that I was too parsimonious. You need a goodly amount to get the grab, but the thicker nature of PGB makes it all easier to hold.
