I earlier mentioned lock moorings and it occurs to me that may not be such a bad idea. There's the upper pool at Hurley, for instance. That might be worth investigating. Or even the lay byes above Hurley and below Temple? As the EA are "creating" the problem - and you have paid your licence fee - a special deal on their moorings for the period of the closure might be worth asking about ?
ps: Had a word with them 'as knows, who indicate that laybys are always kept clear for use either by EA boats in transit or whatever, or more importantly if (when) the River goes on Red Boards - for craft to shelter, as a safe haven. (I didn't think of that one!).
Presume you are thinking electric charging points here rather than an overnight mooring with leccy available?Electric power points are on very short term anyway as each card only runs for 24 hours; they are intended for the sudden rush of electric boats (my joke) for overnight charging.
Yeah, but those two locks are going to be shut, aren't they, so there won't be any boats waiting to get thru or sheltering from red boards for the duration!
And there are some lock moorings which have electricity as part of the overnight charge - Old Windsor springs to mind.
My response was more to help Lady Gay rather than the OP.

And, just for the record, all ideas floated by me are only that - ideas which might be worth checking out and a bit of thinking 'outside the box' that might just strike lucky. Anyways, I get the feeling peeps are more interested in belabouring the point re double closure rather than really in need of a practical place to stay for a few weeks.
As I am currently boatless its not a problem i need to worry about !
BTW, as I've posted before, the fee we pay EA is for registration and not use, because everyone has a right of navigation. Unfortunately, "rights" don't confer any usability of the object per se

Couldn't agree more - if the 'regular forum users' wish to josh each other - do it somewhere else.
Those of us who use the forum for info don't need the rubbish.
Firstly there was very little of that on this thread at all.
Then don't ask the regular forum users for advice.
Not like this is a paid information service. You ask for informal advice on the internet, you live with that advice being delivered informally. There is lots of good advice on this thread for the OP.
