The machine screws holding the whole assembly to the cockpit side are hidden under a cover.
The cover can't be removed until the operating lever is removed.
At the other end of the shaft on which the lever is mounted is a machine screw with a large diameter washer.
I assume removing them should allow the lever and its shaft to be withdrawn inboard.
Is that right?
Unfortunately it won't budge.
Have I misunderstood how to dismantle it or am I facing a dissimilar metal corrosion situation?
I'd like to know before I start applying force to alloy components!
