Tek-Dek or Flexi Teek

I am considering using one of these as cockpit seating. Has anyone used either of these?
I have seen one comment that they can get hot in the sun (do we remember this?)

Not actually handled Flexi-teek but have Tec-Dek and would have thought it a bit rough on the ol' bum when wearing thin summer shorts and can't imagine what it would do to a bare bum ('cause I'm an exhibitionist). Would imagine it will skin a knee pretty quick if you slide down it. Being a plastic type material the same bare bum would show a nice blister or three if a very hot day /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.
What's wrong with a decent bit of real wood or veneer?

My new Tek-Dek on the bathing platform looks a lot better than the rotted old teak but not as good as real new teak.

The bloody Coots in Chi Marfina use my platform as sleeping bed and toilet. This has stained the plastic.
