Tecma toilet firmware update ?

I think Princess has fitted Dometic for some time now. I rate them very highly.

As for why you would have a delay before being able to flush the toilet again...

... If you flush directly out to sea and use sea water to flush with (so very 20th century ), then you can get bits of chopped up waste sucked back into the inlet. Delaying the second flush allows the waste to move away from the inlet on the tide.

Just my best guess.

JFM, Well I had a good look around both Princess 82 and 88 at the show last weekend and neither had the Planus loos you mention, they were both fitted with Dometic systems, or at least that was the name on the control panels, and they were a completely different style to the Tecma panels.

Ah thanks. On a spec sheet they recently sent me for an 82 it said the loos were Planus. (Maybe they made a special effort because they knew I'd complain if they proposed anything else! )

Those new dometics (8000 masterflush) are dometic's sort of copy of Tecma. Probably perfectly ok.
