Teak Strips

The cockpit of my boat has teak strips on the sides and floor which are about 4-5mm thick by 50mm wide, and they vary in length up to about 1600mm. Many are split or have been re-secured with visible screws, so I need to replace them.

Does anyone know where I might source some replacements?

i needed very similar strips for my cockpit seats so i had them machined by my local hardwood specialists. turned out to be good value as they gave me a lot more than i ordered for the same price.

the outfit was barnes branch of high wycombe. if that's any use to you i can give you fuller details of them.

I can tell you know that Barnes does not have any Teak. What you ended up with is probably Afromosia!

I bought from Barnes what was allegedly teak - it was not, but Afromosia.

Teak has a distinctive smell.
