Teak Faced Plywood

I am trying to find a supplier of teak faced ply marine grade which will be good enough for washboards on a 27' Vega. Needs to be about 12mm. I intend to seal the edges with teak rails and varnish. Any ideas, costs, hints would be appreciated.

I would suggest sealing with epoxy as this is vastly superior to varnish.If the edge is to be covered with a teak rail it shouldnt affect your finish.

Try Silverman`s for your ply, they have most things but you will have to buy a whole sheet, maybe share with someone?

Sorry forgot about costs: 12mm WBP single side teak is about £2.63 per square foot, both sides teak £3.57

Use Int. Epiglass as an adhesive for the edgeing this will seal it as well.

Why dont you strip plank one instead in mahogany and Obeche then varnish it will then look the D/Bs

I would seal it before attaching the edging.
As another poster has suggested, you could seal and glue it with epoxy.

As Chippie says, seal the edges with epoxy & use epoxy to glue the edging strips. What is imperative is to seal the end grain of the ply so that moisture cannot get in. Even with good quality marine ply, moisture will get into the grain and under the varnish if the edges are not sealed. I've found this out the hard way!
