We've used Wessex too with good success and wrote about it in MBY.
Only reservation is Wessex warn on the bottle to protect aluminium and they are right, we masked off all the aluminium on the deck but just one tiny area of a hatch was exposed to the chemicals and it etched the finish before we could rinse it off.

What goes in between is it rubber some of mine has come out how to repair thanks roy

It is usually something like Sikaflex, which is a marine grade sealant/adhesive. Good stuff but seems o get everywhere when you use it......or maybe that was just me!
