The caulking on the cockpit teak decking of our Bavaria is melting in the hot sun of the med Any ideas of a sealant or do I have to renew

Isn't THIS PBO?

Sikaflex DC (for Deck Caulking) and DC Sealant (may be called Primer).
- grind a chisel to fit the width of the caulking, carefully remove ALL old caulking
- Lay masking tape along edges of each groove (this is critical Sikaflex is messy)
- Paint groove with Sikaflex DC Sealant (see instructions for drying time)
- Using gun fill groove with Sikaflex, avoid air bubbles
- Smoothe surface (pushing aside excess) with a big chisel
_Remove masking tape when Sikaflex is tacky, sooner is better than later

Good luck, it's not easy but you get the hang of it in the end.
