I have just got hold of a Taylors 072 cabin heater. The badge says Taylors of Maldon, Essex therefore must be pre 1981 before Chillington Marine took them over.
THis one is large and round with a removable hot plate, has a water jacket, fuel feed pipe into a glass pipe with knurled screw [regulator ??] and a blue button and copper wire [thermocouple ??] and inside is sooty and has two cast semi circular bands but no pot.
Help please
What fuel ? - is it diesel or paraffin or does it not matter
Should there be a little pot inside to rest on the two bands
How do you light it and what is the blue button for.
