Tax on import from Channel Islands

Looking for some direction as to how much tax will be due on a boat from the Channel Islands. The price will be approx £45000 for the purpose of the calculations, all info appreciated

Will it just be vat at the purchase price? No import duty?

No import duty. Just VAT on the agreed value which is likely to be the purchase price if recently bought.

Thanks for that most useful, better to negotiate with the cost of importing calculated.
